Marie Margaret BIBEAU1 was born on 2 Oct 1883 in White Bear Lake Township, Ramsey, Minnesota, USA.7 She was baptized on 3 Oct 1883 in St John's, Little Canada, Ramsey, Minnesota, USA.8 She died on 6 Jan 1984. She was buried in St John's, Little Canada, Ramsey, Minnesota, USA. She never married. [NEED TO DEFINE SENTENCE: Biographical]24 Margaret was born in her parent's farmhouse at 3163 Centerville Road. She was the first of eight children. As the eldest she helped her mother with the younger children and she spent here life helping wherever she was needed. Maggie never married; nor did her brother Raphael. With there help the Bibeau family managed their farm for many years, carting their produce to market by horse and wagon.

Maggie was stricken with illness during her teens, which slowed her activity for a while, but she recovered sufficiently to lead a near normal life. She might be called a "home-body" because she never left the State of Minnesota once, when she visited Wisconsin. Maggie lived in the same house she was born in until 1974, when she and her widowd sister, Emma (Morrissette) and her borther, Louis, whose wife had died, went to live at the Holy Family Residence in St. Paul. Even though her arthritis would bother her in her advancing years, she was always ready to help others in her "new home".

She was very religious; it was not unusual to stop by the old Bibeau home in the afternoon and find Maggie and her mother, Philomene, praying the Rosary. That was their way of taking a "break" in the day's work. Maggie continued to enjoy visits to the Chapel while at the Holy Family Residence. She carried her French prayerbook with her, always prayed in French and also preferred to speak French instead of English.

Long life was not uncommon for the Bibeau family. Maggie's mother was 92 years old; her Grandmother was 99, and her cousin, Albert passed the 100 year mark. Maggie too, lived 100 years, three months and four days. She died on Jan 6 1984, a century of helping others.
