Joseph Anthony George BIBEAU and Agnes Ella Florence GARCEAU were married on 26 Nov 1936 in St John's, Little Canada, Ramsey, Minnesota, USA.8 [NEED TO DEFINE SENTENCE: Stories]24 Florence and Anthony graduated in the same class. They received their religious education at St. John's in Little Canada and both made their first communion in the same class. They were married at St. John's Church on November 26, 1936.

After their marriage they moved to Little Canada, bought an 8 1/2 acre tract of land located at 2910 Centerville Road. There they built their home, became truck gardeners, worked very hard cultivating the land and were extremely happy. They had two children, Janet and John.

On September 3, 1974, Anthony suffered a fatal coronary arrest. Since Anthony's death, Florence kept busy making quilts, working on projects for St. Anne's Society and St. John's Church.

In 1988 the City of Little Canada purchased the farm land where Florence was still living. The City bought all of her property including her home in anticipation of builing a multi-use park, walking paths, bath fields--in fact there will be thirty-eight acres of land used to create a total recreational area. Hopefully it will serve Little Canada for many generations to come. It is so appropriate to use the land for such a deserving project.

Florence remained a resident of Little Canada having bought a home at 2666 Lakeshore Ave. Her son John and grandson John Jr. make their home with her.

Agnes Ella Florence GARCEAU1 (daughter of Augustus GARCEAU and Amanda MORANCEY) was born on 27 Feb 1904 in White Bear Lake Township, Ramsey, Minnesota, USA.7 She was baptized on 6 Mar 1904 in St John's, Little Canada, Ramsey, Minnesota, USA.8 She died on 3 Jan 1994 in Maplewood, Ramsey, Minnesota, USA. She was buried on 7 Jan 1994 in St John's, Little Canada, Ramsey, Minnesota, USA. [NEED TO DEFINE SENTENCE: Biographical]24 Florence (Garceau) Bibeau was an active ember of the Historical Society of Little Canada Book Comittee, and has been a source of refreshing stories and occurrences of the early days in Little Canada. She was born and rasied in the home located at 3437 Centerville Road. The home was built by her grandfather (Garceau) in 1871 and remodeled in 1924. This is perhaps the oldest house in Vadnais Heights.

Florence has many pleasant memories of this home with her parents Augustus adn Amanda (Morancey) Garceau, her sister Viola and brothers Leon, Joseph, David and Francis. The home had no electricity, a pump for the water supply, wood burning range and no modern facilities. Florence recalls working with fellow parishioners at church picnic dinners served in the old St. John's hall.

Florence attended school at District #6A grade school. This is where she met her future husband, Anthony Bibeau. Anthony's parents were Alexis and Philomene (Belland) Bibeau.
